Hi there, I’m İpek (Pronounced as E-Pek). I’m a wife to a wonderful husband and a mom to two amazing children. What began as a passion to learn and create lasting memories of my kids exploded into my business – Melodi Photography. I strive to capture a baby/child’s spirit and a family’s personality. My clients can find themselves giggling, tickling and jumping during my sessions. And in my newborn sessions, I LOVE using timeless props.

I was born and raised in Turkey and I’ve been living in the U.S since 2007.
If I’m not chasing out sunsets, I’m most definitely chasing my kids.
I have a Master’s degree in Education (that I earned from the University of Oklahoma)
My Heart
By the way, you may be wondering why my business name is called Melodi Photography. It’s because of my daughter whose name is Melodi. Her big blue/gray eyes have always fueled my inspiration in photography.

The Studio
Melodi Photography home-studio is where I create the newborn, baby and child photographs. The studio is stocked with backdrops, wraps, hats, bonnets, headbands, rompers and baskets for the beautiful newborns, babies and kids.

One of the most common questions I get:
“When should I schedule my maternity photos?” 🤍
The sweet spot is typically between 28–34 weeks.
By then:
• Your belly has a beautiful, round shape
• You’re still comfortable enough to move with ease
• Swelling hasn’t usually peaked
• And we have flexibility before baby arrives
Every pregnancy is different though — if you’re carrying smaller, twins, or feeling uncomfortable earlier, we adjust.
The most important thing?
Don’t wait until you feel “perfect.”
This season is already perfect.
If you’re expecting in Bakersfield this year, I recommend booking your session during your second trimester to secure your date 🤍

That’s why I offer a curated baby client closet in the studio — complimentary for milestone sessions (newborn to 18 months).
Everything is chosen to photograph beautifully and keep the focus where it belongs… on your baby 🤍

POV: We nailed the session and then the baby said “I’m done.” 😂
This is why I never rush.
We follow baby’s mood, take breaks, play, cuddle…
And when they’ve had enough — we wrap it up.
