Baby Laila was my first little client after the quarantine. I photographed her outdoors (at Hart Park, Bakersfield), following the social distancing guidelines around the last week of May. It was a bright, beautiful day to be outside shooting. At least I really enjoyed if after being home for so long. LOL.
Sweet Laila happily smashed her half-birthday cake and had a warm bubble bath with her rubber duckies when the sun was setting. How fun is that!

Maybe because every time I travel, it brings me back to where my story began. I grew up in Türkiye, and now I’m raising my family in a different part of the world… somewhere between two cultures, two homes.
Travel feels different when you live like this—new places, but familiar feelings.
And through it all, I see everything through my lens. Photography is how I hold onto those in-between moments… the ones that feel like pieces of both past and present.
