We have a pretty small backyard but every year we get so inspired to plant new flowers and organic veggies to welcome the spring. This year we planted tomatoes, cucumbers, mint, parsley, spinach, carrots, zucchini, strawberries and pepper. Also we have succulents, geraniums and couple more flowers that I don’t know the names of. Mostly, my husband is in charge of the veggies, and I’m in charge of the flowers. It’s so exciting to see the plants and veggies grow daily. And needless to mention that it’s so amazing to eat from our own garden.
As our backyard is getting more green and festive, we started to spend more time outdoors as a family. In fact, it’s the perfect time to enjoy it before the summer heat hits. Usually the kids and I lay on the outdoor rug and snuggle up, as the daddy is busy with the garden. Then we start talking about the backyard projects and right after we find ourselves at Home Depot or something, looking around :)
I took these photos last weekend when my daughter was playing with baby brother in the backyard. My son really loves it when big sister is playing with him. He keeps giggling and rolling.
When Melodi wanted to pretend changing her brother’s diaper, I said OK, go ahead.
It’s so funny because she still had her diaper on from the night :) I love my babies!
As I write this post, I realized that I need to take more pictures of our backyard as well as my kids playing there. I know these times are priceless and need to be documented.
