It’s now our tradition to go to beautiful Wind Wolves Preserve every year when the wildflowers bloom in Bakersfield. We take the girls with us and just enjoy taking photos for fun!
Our trip this year was very similar to last year that we started at the wildflowers and ended up stopping by the almond orchards on our way back home. Melodi and Gemma pretty much enjoyed themselves A LOT. As I was taking these fun photos at the almond orchards, I didn’t know that my car keys slipped out of my pocket and got lost.It was sunset time and about to be dark. On top of that, both Britney and I left our cell phones in the car, and it looked almost impossible to find the keys in the large area that we were chasing after the kids. I can’t tell enough the stress I had at that 10-15 minutes. I seriously thought that we were going to end up staying there (in the middle of nowhere – by the highway) with two kids, and would have to stop a car passing by for help. Thanks God, Britney found the keys before it got dark and we headed home by laughing out loud the whole way. And yes, now we have a story to tell, as Britney says :)
