Why does a newborn session take 2–3 hours? 🤍

Not because we’re taking photos for three hours straight. 😉

A lot of that time is spent not taking pictures at all.

Feeding. Soothing. Changing. Cuddling. Waiting for baby to settle. And sometimes trying something, realizing baby has other plans, and moving on. 😄

There’s no pressure to “get the shot” quickly.

Your baby sets the pace, and I build plenty of time into newborn sessions so we can follow their cues instead of watching the clock.

Because beautiful newborn photos shouldn’t come at the expense of a comfortable baby—or stressed parents.

When a family comes back to you for baby #3, it hits a little differently. 🤍

I photographed their middle girl as a newborn, and now I get to hold the camera again as they welcome their newest little one.

This is the part of photography I don’t think I’ll ever take for granted. It’s not just about creating beautiful images—it’s about being trusted with someone’s memories over and over again. I get to meet their babies, watch their family grow, and document these little chapters along the way.

And honestly, when clients return, it feels less like a “client session” and more like catching up with old friends while meeting the newest member of the family. 🥹
