My interest in photography has increased when my daughter Melodi was born. I was taking photos of my friends’ kids before my daughter but, when she was born I seriously wanted to create really good photos of her. She was such a cute baby with big blue eyes (well, she is still very cute ;), so she was a perfect model for me. By now, I found myself doing many personal photo projects just to document her childhood and practice my photography skills. Some of the photo projects I did was 365 days project (I had to stop at 6 months because of some health issues), a day in life project, and several milestone projects in her first year. Those were all so much fun, and definitely they are like a treasure for our family. No need to say that I grew a lot thanks to them. Now, personal photo projects are quite an adventure to me, and addicting.
This year, I wanted to try something different. A 52 Weeks Project! I post once a week during the year of 2014. Below you can see some of my favorites from that project. If you want to see the entire project, please click here. To me it’s fun to see visually how a kid grows up – if she’s your own kid, I’d say it’s more emotional, though ;) Children truly grow up so fast and it’s really important to document their daily moments. Like Gretchen Rubin told in her book The Happiness Project ” The days are long but the years are short”. Isn’t that true?
