Blogging

In the fall of 2010 I did a great thing. I started a blog! A personal blog that I write in my mother tongue! I think it’s one of the best things I did in my life. I write about my cooking, my travels, my photography, my crafts, my successes, my failures… In short, it’s all about my life. It’s a reflection of my thoughts and emotions. It’s full of my  memories and special moments.

Even though there are times that I write more consistently than others, in general I’m so glad that I have never stopped my commitment in the last 4 years. Recently I have been sharing a lot about the miracle of my life, my daughter,  in that little corner of the internet. As she grows up, I try to record the highlights of her developments, silliness, and gorgeousness. And as I look back at the older posts, I LOVE reading the story and seeing the pictures of that particular moment. It’s just amazing to be sharing those moments with the world. Especially living abroad and being thousands of miles away from my family and friends, I feel connected to my home country when I share our family’s adventures with whoever is interested in reading about our life.

Along my blogging journey, I met several people with wonderful talents and insights. They each have a story to tell and a thought or skill to share. I love finding something in common with those people and being inspired by them daily.

Another thing is that, with the blogging motivation I have been trying my best to photograph my crafts, cooking, etc. (Believe me, appealing photos make a great difference in blogging world!) In the past couple years, it has been a great challenge to myself to improve my photography skills! Now, I have even started to write some tutorials/posts about photography to help others. Feeling proud to be a part of such a good photography learning community!

IMG_0042-2-EditThose pictures are some of the pages of  the hard copy of my blog. I was so scared that something bad would happen to my blog (even though I regularly back it up) that last winter I published it. Just one copy for myself. I used the publishing company Blurb, and was pretty happy with them. I feel so happy when I browse the pages from time to time.

IMG_0040-2 IMG_0049-EditIMG_0046I wonder if there are other people reading this post who love personal blogging as a much as I do. I’d love to connect and give some love! Please let me know below! ;)

This past year was full of tiny moments that didn’t feel big at the time —a sleepy newborn stretch, a messy cake smash, shy smiles, giggles that lasted only seconds ♥️Memories fade. The details soften. But photos don’t✨They freeze the in-between moments we forget we’ll miss. They remind us how small they once were, how fast everything changed. They bring us back to seasons we didn’t know we’d be nostalgic for yet.As I look back at this year’s sessions, I’m reminded why printing photos matters so much.Because one day, these images won’t just be photos —they’ll be proof of love, growth, and time passing far too quickly. Here’s to a year full of stories, families, and moments that deserve to be remembered —not just in our hearts, but in our hands. 📖✨#MelodiPhotography#BakersfieldPhotographer#BakersfieldMoms#CaliforniaPhotographer#memories
