When I met with this beautiful mom-to-be for the first time at a Starbucks, I liked that she knew what she wanted for their session. She was so excited and she had many ideas. Not to be dramatic but… being a photographer is 10 jobs in one.
I’m the one hyping you up during your session,
the one chasing golden light and toddler smiles,
then going home to hours of editing while the house is finally quiet.
I’m also the scheduler, the marketer, the bookkeeper, the late-night email responder… a full-on solopreneur building something from the ground up.
It’s long days, full memory cards, and never really “clocking out” —

Maybe because every time I travel, it brings me back to where my story began. I grew up in Türkiye, and now I’m raising my family in a different part of the world… somewhere between two cultures, two homes.
Travel feels different when you live like this—new places, but familiar feelings.
And through it all, I see everything through my lens. Photography is how I hold onto those in-between moments… the ones that feel like pieces of both past and present.
I can hardly wait for summer so I can travel across the ocean again to visit both my hometown and some new countries☀️
